Cody Statton

Vice President of Engineering

Cody began his career in 2012 as a reservoir engineer for EOG Resources. He worked on Permian completion and spacing optimization in Texas and New Mexico until 2014 when he began working for Concho Resources on their Southern Delaware Basin asset. In 2016, he moved to BC Operating in the position of Reservoir Manager. Acting as the sole evaluations engineer, he has evaluated several billion dollars of deals including operated, non-operated, mineral, and wind spanning across the Permian Basin, Haynesville, Marcellus and Barnett. He has been responsible for year-end reserve reports for various operated and mineral entities and assisted marketing efforts in the successful sales of BC to Marathon in 2017 and Foundation Minerals to Sitio Royalties in 2021. Mr. Statton graduated from Texas A&M with Bachelor and Master’s degrees in Petroleum Engineering.
